![]() ![]() He said he wanted to talk to his mom but then just stalled and wouldn’t come back like he was avoiding them. Something you can internalize and deny for years. Why did he have his mom’s diamond earrings? I’m not trying to be that asshole but, had he stolen them for their value? If he had then he would have sold them for cash, not given them away.ĭid he steal the diamond earrings so he could wear them because he was trans or gay? If so, wouldn’t there be easier women’s jewelry to get, or at least women’s items that were more easily accessible?ĭid he steal the earrings from his mom to piss her off? Did the earrings mean something to him in a personal sense? During all that time he did heavy drugs he may have remembered something messed up from his past. And then there is the issue of someone who reported knowing the family personally (who stated that the father was abusive and the mom was controlling and obsessively involved in Bryce’s life). And the fact that all of his belongings were left behind, but outside of the car, meaning he had intentionally pulled them out but then left them behind. Personally, the things that stuck out as strange to me include Bryce having his mom’s diamond earrings and the amount of denial his parents were in about his drug use. Abducted/trafficked (could have happened if he was Confused/wandering after an accident) Alive but lost his memory d/t head injuryĤ. The crash looked intentional, it appeared that Bryce had attempted to crash in to the lake but because of some optics, the lake was farther than he realized and he missed the lake. By choice, likely due to Abusive father and narcissistic motherģ. Instead, police knock on the door and tell them that Bryce’s car had been found overturned at a lake around 2 hours from their home, and 1 hour from Buttowillow.Link to news article regarding the discovery of the body. Bryce's crashed SUV was found near the southeast corner of Castaic Lake, about 20 miles northwest of the body's location.Ĭould the remains found be Bryce? Are there any others who went missing in the area whose bones these might be? This is the approximate location where the body was found. ![]() It's a baffling case, due to Bryce's strange behavior the day of his disappearance, and the fact that he seemingly vanished into thin air after crashing his SUV. The case has also been featured on ID's Disappeared and numerous true crime podcasts. There is a write-up from this subreddit here. The place where the body was found is about twenty miles from where Bryce Laspisa went missing in August 2013 while he was driving home from college. They suggest the body was there for at least a year prior to the fire, and that the person's death was unrelated to the fire (or any previous ones). Laspisa was 19 and had recently started his sophomore year at Sierra College in Rocklin, CA, where he was studying industrial and graphic design. It's fire season in California, and yesterday the Los Angeles County coroner's office announced that they had found skeletal remains in an area recently burned by the Tick Fire. On the evening of August 28, 2013, Karen and Mike Laspisa received a phone call from their son, Bryce, letting them know that he was driving down to their home in Laguna Niguel, CA. ![]()
